Dev Health Hack #6: Drink more water

Hi dev friends 👋
Let’s talk about something I struggle with… drinking enough water 💦
I’ll admit it — I’ve always had a sweet tooth 😅
My day often starts with a Coke Zero, and later, there’s usually an energy drink somewhere in the mix. I'm not a coffee person (which is weird for a developer, I know), but many of us rely on caffeine to keep going.
The problem? None of those actually hydrate you. Not the way your brain really needs. (research)

Why it matters:
Even mild dehydration slows your brain down 🧠
It messes with your focus, mood, and energy
It dries out your eyes (especially with all our screen time)
You might not even feel thirsty, but still be running low

I’ve started trying some things that actually work for me:
Not sponsored. Just stuff I genuinely like.
So here’s your reminder:
Drink more water — even if it’s not plain. Your brain (and eyes, and back, and code) will thank you.
